After some advice please... One of my Ida browns is hunched up and lifeless and not eating.. Crop seems ok and can't feel any lumps as if egg bound, just noticed a very watery light brown yellowish poo.. Any ideas?

Hi Carl, your isa brown is new to laying she could be trying to pass a soft shelled egg. This really does take it out of them as their muscles have nothing to push against. Once passed she will revert back to her normal happy self within a couple of hours. Make sure you don't give them too many treats and also that they have crushed oyster shell for calcium in a little pot available at all times  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.

When you worm them, use Flubenvet, either the powder or the Marriages pellets with it already added.

Hi Carl

You can by Flubenvet online without a prescription - see websites like:

http://www.medicanimal.com/setSessionLocale/product?product_id=10127

Don't know if this particular retailer is OK I just put it there so you could take a look. Verm X is more of a herbal preventative - you need a chemical wormer like Flubenvet to actually get rid of worms. Hope this helps.

You can also buy it in their pellets with Flub in from places like www.farmandpetplace.co.uk
I ordered some pellets on Wednesday at 3.30pm and it arrived this morning at 8.30!

Your supplier would need to have a licence to sell meds which I should think would be costly.  ;)
