Hi there, long time no post.   

Can anyone advise me on the amount of epsom salts to 1gallon of water, to give to vegetables etc

Any advice would be mosy helpfull.

20 grams per litre ( i.e. 3 level tablespoons per gallon.)

Add a little washing up liquid. Aviod bright sunlight. Do it when the leaves are dry and it will have time to dry before the next shower.

I have always used 3 tablespoons per gallon. I have just checked this and a tablespoonfull weighs 25 grams. Not stricktly equivalent to 20 grams per litre but it is not an exact science - depends how much you make a gallon cover - just enough to wet the leaves without run off.

Remedy: In the short term, apply Epsom salts as a foliar feed in summer. Dilute the salts at a rate of [20g of Epsom salts per litre of water (1/3oz per pint) plus a few drops of liquid detergent. Apply two or three times at fortnightly intervals, spraying in dull weather to avoid leaf scorch.
