I have just brought some plug plants from Aldi £1.99 for 15 (be rude not to  )   the onion I am not sure what to do with as each "plug" is made up of several mini onions do I split them into a single onion before I grow them on or leave them as they are ??

That depends on how many in a plug. If there are 3/4 then you have the choice of planting them as a plug at about 12 inches apart (they will push each other out of the way as they grow), or planting them individually at 4 inches apart.

If there are more than that per plug then plant them individually.

OK thanks very much there are 4/ 5 hope they do OK but at £1.99 I mustn't grumble !!
