Tomatoes falling over!
« on: June 28, 2012, 12:29 »
These are now in 12" pots and are about three feet tall. Trouble is, I keep finding the odd one has fallen over with a bend in the stem, rather than the pot toppling over. This despite ensuring that when they were potted on, they were planted deep to encourage stronger root development.

Today a couple had fallen over just above the point where they had been previously staked and tied.

Too hot? I think not. Haven't watered as much as when it is a proper summer. Anyone had the same problems? They are otherwise ok and have flowers.
Growing salad leaves isn't rocket science.
