My first earlies (maris bard)
« on: June 24, 2012, 11:33 »
Only 9 weeks old and it was the wind damaged plant i harvested  :tongue2:

I am looking forward to my dinner today  :tongue2:

I have about 25 bins & dustbins of maris bard & penland jav, so this one is my treat  :tongue2:

Now the main question is ...... was it a good harvest at only 9 weeks old ?

One plant? That looks like quite a decent yield. ;) What sort of weight?

not a good yield for
Quote
4 or 5 seed potatoes

left longer all the little ones would have bulked up, of course.

Then- it may have been a good yield  ;) but you will enjoy them now  :)

With bad wind damage ( whole stems snapped off) is it best to harvest early?

They were growing fine,I only snaped one stem off after wind damage.
2 days after you would never know they were windswept.

I only harvested these as i have plenty of bins going on.

And i have to say this ....................... They were delicious to eat  :tongue2:

I have a few over for tomorrows tea  :tongue2:
