Hi,
We are having an ongoing problem with our hens and cockerels.

After introducing som new birds, all old ad new birds appeared to develop an infection that makes them appear to sound very chesty and auses them to sneeze.  They don't seem too bothered but are definately less energetic.  We have given them two doses of antibiotics - once administered manually and once in their water.  It clears up for 2 or 3 weeks but then returns and spreads amongst all the birds again.

Any advice much appreciated.

It could be mycoplasmia. Did you quarantine the new birds before adding to your own? Can you contact the seller?

get your vet to test for myco, if they have got it then they will have it for life. You can control it but you can never cure them, any time they get stressed it can show up again. Also you should never breed from a bird that has had myco as it can pass down to the chicks. It is also contagious.
