16 outdoor cues and all hale and hearty until this rain. They are pretty sodden!
Could this be why one of them has gone limp and lifeless as if it's had it? Rotted roots?
It's impossible to dry out the huge pots quickly.
Ho hum. Looks like another crop may bite the dust.......

Vietta, can you put them under a cloche? A bit of sun today just may make a difference!

We're having to do that with cougettes, squash etc, and so far - fingers crossed...!

Squash, courgettes and outdoor cues should be able to cope with most things, and they'll probably recover. I can't see all 16 plants biting the dust 

Admitted they do like the sun on their backs but I've always grown outdoor cues in pots in the open and they've always done fine

Another 3 have gone lifeless and I notice the stems are sort of split length-wise but hard. Sign of too much water? They're just floppy and soft.
I can't cloche because they're in big pots on a table outside the lkitchen and have been tied into a trellis.
Tomorrow is dry in the morning but then we expect much more rain and it's also pretty cool.
I used self-watering pots and the plants are getting water from the top AND the bottom so the compost is sodden. I can't empty the well either!
Of course....I was prepared for a drought. Doh!

My outdoor cucumbers are looking very sorry for themselves right now, pale leaves and not growing one iota. If this weather doesn't improve soon I suspect mine will be goners too.

I've lost 2 of my plants already too - same as yours, first went pale, then went limp, then just flopped over and died a death. I'm attempting to sow some more - not sure if it's too late though...

Long shot Vietta, but is it possible to re-pot them, CAREFULLY, with the damaged stem below the surface of some nice gentle compost?

Cuces like having stems making side roots, and I've managed to save a few doing this in the past, but by being extra careful, and comfy/tender with them!

It may just work, if they seem to have given up the ghost...

BTW, I've been there many times - keep at them, they may respond!

And perhaps a general feed may help them to live on easier, while they start to re-survive too!

two of my 6 plants died as well, they grow very slow, I predict that this is going to be a very bad year for out door tomatos and cucumbers

I to removed the dead cue's from the greenhouse today.. one had grey mould at the base of the stem. I blame the compost and weather..

I'm just letting you know that I binned 4 plants (all Marketmore) because the leaves were really pale, shrinking, soft and lifeless and the stalk was black at the root. I left one of the Marketmores which was in the same state and the others (Long White and Wautoma) were fine.
With this warmth the "dead" one has perked up and is putting out a healthy sideshoot! Should have left the others in, shouldn't I?
Cucumbers are a law unto themselves........suicide.....regeneration.....
