I put in a new damson tree in December and in late March it had lots of blossom but now the area of the tree where the blossom was has no fruit set and some of the surrounding leaves are brown and some curled. The new growth leaves seem fine. I was wondering was this frost damage, we had quite hard frost when the blossom was on, or lack of water. Any ideas - we are situated in North East England.

how old is your tree ? - mines 5 years old blossomed and fruited last year but this year it blossomed, but only 1 fruit has set - i just presumed it was my tree  - but maybe it was the frost that hit them?

its frost damage i've no damsons or pears this year all got hit by frosts
