Evening to you all,

Can anyone help?  All advice welcome.  We have 6 chickens (6 weeks old, 3 pekin (including a frizzle) and 3 dutch bantams) and 2 khaki campbell ducks (one drake, one female both 6 weeks old).

We have just taken on 2 indian runners (one drake, one female both just under one year old.)

The runner drake is very agressive towards the campbells - not sure if trying to mate or just very grumpy.  We have seperated the runners from the rest (all the others get on fab)  How do I introduce the runners to the others and keep them safe?  Will they eventually sort themselves out i am worried they will hurt the others.

We have kept runners and a motley bunch of bantams before but never so many young, and not introducing new to an established group.  They have free rein of the garden when we are in the garden, but at present in a large run the rest of the time due to a cunning buzzard who has realised they taste nice!

they may have been fighting over the females as it is the mating season. Ideally a drake needs more than one female.

my mistake on my query though (obviously suffering from bank holiday brain fade!!) my two campbells are female - with one runner drake and one runner female.

It will settle down in a while, especially once the Campbells reach sexual maturity.
