Hello all,

I was wondering if anybody could tell me the breed of my chicken? When I bought her I was told she was Bluebelle, however, I believe that my other lady who is supposedly a columbine is the Bluebelle, as she certainly looks more like one! I doubt she can be a columbine as she doesn't lay Blue eggs, but rather large brown speckledy eggs?!

Can anyone enlighten me? I'm just a little curious, and after searching many breed databases I'm still non the wiser!

I am no expert but her markings look similar to a Welsummer. Have a look at the link below:

Yes she does look remarkably similar to that welsummer and lays the the same eggs as described. You may have solved the mystery!
