Is it too early.......?
« on: April 12, 2012, 21:18 »
Being a new plot holder, I am eager to get some crops in but is it too early.

My plans this year are to try a little of a lot of varieties to see what goes well and what we can eat

I am looking to plant

Cabbages, Cauliflower, Kale, Parsnips, Sprouts in one bed

Sugar Snap Peas, dwarf beens, broad beans, leeks and carrots in another bed

And then a bed of salads, spring onions, beetroot, radish

And a bed of strawberries.

In the small polytunnel tomatoes, chilli's, peppers and cucumber.

I am trying to grow everrything from seed and have some toms, parsnips, kale, cauli and cabbage ready to plant out from the cold frame but is it too early?

I have planted my brussels out they are about 4" high with several leaves on them and have all been hardened off and as soon as my caulis are ready they will be going in   :)
some people are like slinkys......they're really good for nothing, but they still bring a smile to your face as you push them down the stairs!!
