any experience with this greenhouse ...
« on: April 23, 2012, 20:44 »
http://www.lbsgardenwarehouse.co.uk/src/LBSBG/6-Wide-Aluminium-Quick-Click-Greenhouse-PRDGH01/

looking to buy a greenhouse but cant really afford to spend much money on one.
tried freecycle manytimes but no joy so gonna have to buy one.
is this one any good, dont want it to fall apart in 5 yrs time.
all advice welcome.

also the site we will be putting it on is shaded in the morning and evening
and gets sun thru the middle of the day only, so would it be worthwhile having a greenhouse?
these 2 take all my time, whatever is left the veggies get, poor hubby is at the end of the queue.

We have had a lean-to version of this in a wind tunnel for four years. We have lost a couple of polycarbonate panels when we have had severe wind, but all in all I wouldn't be without it, we only have space for a small one. We have only had to replace one, the others went back in, but with extra clips, easily available. We have tried silicon-ing one in to see what happens in the next gale.It gets most of the sun from about nine till it goes down in summer, but enough to get things going at this time of the year (when we do get some sun! :()

For two hundred quid you could get a really nice greenhouse off of ebay. Just depends on weather you want to go and take one down and transport it. After moving house last year i decided i wanted another greenhouse and hung on for ages with a small budget, then out of the blue ended up with a mint Alton 12x8 wooden greenhouse, which was free to collecter in the next village!!!!

totty i did take a look on ebay but with our location everywhere is a fair drive. the nearest one ive found so far is 3.5 hrs drive each way and we dont have a suitable car to transport it in.
i cant decide wether to wait and hope one comes up on ebay or take the oppertunity and just go for this as its only £200 and will do the job. dont see them that cheap new
