if im totally honest ive never had much luck with pepper from seed - they germinate ok and grow into big strong plants but dont produce much and what they do produce look nothing like the pepper on the packet

although i did have success with yellow and green pepper plants last year - but they where bought as plants.

however dont be put off from what ive said - they may work out!

Matt I have found that peppers respond well to hot growing conditions under cover, just like chillis, but that they need more feeding than chillis to crop well.

This might be due to the size of the fruits as they have to have the raw materials available to create them from  :D

Year before last I had loads of peppers, even from outside plants in the lotty, last year I only had a decent crop from the indoor plants as it was way too cold last summer.

no, last summer it was at constant 30 degrees - i just cant manage to grow peppers and aubs from seeds :( and if im lucky i get 1 or 2 aubs from plants that where bought, and last year i bought a yellow pepper plant and got 3 little peppers from that >:( - i did have great crops from some plants tho, so i suppose you cant have it all your way (unfortunately).
