I spoke to the folks at Cupar and they seem very knowledgeable and friendly.  They are approved agents of Black Rocks, supplied by the Black Rock Hatchery. (http://www.theblackrockhatchery.co.uk).  Not all Black Rocks for sale are genuine, so check out the list of approved agents on the website.

We will be collecting ours in early June, and are confident that the Waters family are a trustworthy supplier. (we're travelling from North Scotland)

Thanks.......exactly the sort of info I'm after. The only problem is that I'm planning to get a mix of breeds so I won't be able to go there. The hunt goes on!

Have got chickens from both guy from Cupar (Rhode Island Reds) beautiful girls and woman near St Andrews hybrids.
Both last year both very friendly and good choice of chickens at Hens Made Easy but feel they are bit pricey
