Hi all

Well my little Welsummer chick that hatch out at the end of March last year has layed her first egg today 
It doesn't seem that long ago that I posted pics of her at one day old wondering if she was a she or a he 
Well she is definitely a she and although it has taken her nearly a year I am a very happy woman today

So nice to get your first egg.  Lovely colouring which should change the more she lays to a nice dark brown.   

I have just collected 6 fertile Welsummer Bantam eggs to put under one of my broody Wyandotte Bantams.  Hoping the 6 Light Sussex Bantam eggs ordered will arrive tomorrow.  Then it will be all systems go in a few weeks.
