biggest one has clear signs of little nubby shoots at ground level and the suspicion of one or two around the others so I'm mightily cheered up :)

Good news indeed -if Argyllie had them overwinter, up there, then I would expect them to in Somerset  ;)

I'd ment to ask the same question about my tarragon which looks dead.I might leave it a few months and see what happens then

Thanks to the advice on this thread I didn't pull my french tarragon up when it looked dead in the Autumn now its sending up new growth hurrah  :D
some people are like slinkys......they're really good for nothing, but they still bring a smile to your face as you push them down the stairs!!

a ha I wondered why it had disappeared off the shelf in sainsburys very disappointed as I usually put some in me chicken when I roast it
