Buzzline Birdscarer
« on: March 17, 2012, 08:52 »
Has anyone tried the Buzzline Birdscarer?   It looks a much neater solution to stretch next to my soft fruit than the twisted audio tape I usually use.   The line is supposed to vibrate and make a noise which birds can't tolerate.   I have a walkway through three arches with logan berries trained over.   It can look very decorative, but although the audio tape works, it looks a mess.

someone on our site uses them - think they work OK but not 100%. Glad I'm not on the plot next to his cos they do make a noise...

Never tried it, but did try VHS video tape once. Gives a similar effect for a lot less cash, Buzz's & flaps around like a good un.  :)

A few C.D.s (supplied by a well known daily paper) does the job for me.  But they don't last long in the sun.   ::)   Cheers,     Tony.

CD's are rubbish, in my opinion.

Tried them years back in the brassicas. Birds had their lunch when I went for mine.

Can't beat a physical barrier like netting.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
