leek question

My leeks seem to be doing quite well, do you put them in bigger containers before planting or how do is work as not grown them before.
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength

They are in cells not quite as deep as a cat litter tray but only the per cell, six cells in total. Also sown some in a larger ready but they only went in this week
