hi all i have a lavender plant on the plot in a big tyre we got it last year an its quite big now im wondering if i should prune it now or should i have done last backend anyone any ideas thanks

It's best to give it a light pruning after flowering.

You can give it a light trim to cut off the old flower stalks, but don't ever hard prune it - it doesn't regrow from old wood.

thanks for that il light prune the old flower stalks an dead wood there is quite alot of new growth so good

As MoS said, it wonlt regenerate from cutting into old wood, so lightly does it.

Anything dead can just come out right down to the base of the plant
