Some of you may have heard about a Tornado that swept through Derby last week! Obviously it was a small one compared to those they have over the pond! It was strong enough to knock down some trees and road signs, and scare a guy up a tower crane!! :shock:

However - upon visiting my plot at the weekend to do some overdue weeding (T'sk t'sk!!) it seemed that the 'twister' had come though there as well - my runner bean wigwams where flatened - some beans salvagable, and the lid had been torn off the top of my brand new compost bin which we installed only last weekend!!  :cry:

Our neighbour had lost his beans, as well as large section of fencing!

Was wondering if any of you had suffered anything like this in the past?

Sadly life in Andover doesn't get any more exciting than watching the grey cloud in the sky - no tornados, no rain, no wind, no sun, no snow, no hail..... :roll:

Wow! I hadn't heard about the twister.  Tornado alley, just west of Nottingham.
Hope the winds forcast for Wednesday don't hurt my greenhouses.
