Reviews may also be posted by friends and family ;)

I had a very bad experience with my ebay polytunnel, as have others  :(

this is just a couple of the many old threads you'll find if you search for 'ebay polytunnel'

I have a very similar tunnel that I bought from ebay. It's the same size and similar frame, just a different cover with a double door. This is the one I bought -
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6-x-3m-Polytunnel-Greenhouse-Poly-Tunnel-Pollytunnel-/310323208133?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Garden_Structures_Fencing_CV&hash=item4840b45fc5.

I only installed it last autumn but so far I'm very pleased with it. Customer service was very good with this vendor too. The frame is very strong and sturdy indeed and I suspect will last a good length of time. The cover won't last forever but they're not expensive to replace. If you wanted to you could replace it with conventional poly sheeting, though if you did that you'd lose the vent windows down the sides, which are very useful. And even with an expensive polytunnel, you'd still need to replace the cover every few years.

Mine has stood through some very high winds this winter and it hasn't budged an inch, and I haven't even buried the cover. All I did was put a continuous row of bricks on top all the way round on three sides. I've put four 8 foot X 4 foot raised beds in it, which still leaves me plenty of room at the end for a nice big staging/potting bench and a few pots on the ground. So I've gained a good amount of extra growing space that's well protected from the elements for a bargain price.

I think the specification in mugin's link looks highly suspect!

Most obvious problem is probably the guage of the steel tubing - at 0.8mm that's about half the thickness of more expensive polytunnels (usually 1.5mm.)

Even they don't seem to have much confidence in its ability to stand up to the weather either!  ::)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

I have actually tried swinging from the roof bars on mine, and they didn't bend :)

The only thing it doesn't have that I'd really like to have is crop bars. I did ask the vendor and he said they're not available right now but working on it.

Weather covers a multitude of sins!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I plan to use 25mm galv tubing for my short winter frames which will sit only 4 ft high.

Over here, all polytunnel sized enclosures are made with 1.5 inch (about 37mm) tubing for durability and strength against wind. Not sure I like the green colour of the poly covering which suggests less than desirable strength on that either.

I have the one in the second link and am very pleased with it,the door zip did stick but contacted seller and they sent a new cover no questions asked.
a bit of WD40 and zip now works if i get 3 years per cover I have already had 2 I will be more than happy. When these covers have finished their life I will put a dearer clear cover on and hopefully get better heat retention but then will need doors either end but that is not a problem.
Would highly recommend
