Oh yes!
The ground is like iron, the wind whistling and I notice a shift away from the growing pages to the cookery section in the past few weeks.
It's because we're all cooking furiously to keep warm and prevent boredom.....

You've got it right (my other diversionary tactic is decorating) but sitting around the stove with a book, while something is cooking, is a better plan

I must admit I've been sat reading the Biggest Loser Cook Book ....and using it to plan what else I can plant!

If I could work out how to grow tuna I'd be sorted

I just posted somewhere else on here admitting to diversion activities 

Using an eraser I cleaned last years plant labels of wording and washed them in the dishwasher. This was also to keep my hands busy so I wasn't snacking    The nights just fly by 

I made some bread the other day. It's good to be in the warm kitchen on days like these

I've even knitted my grandson a big blanket.....and I don't knit. Cleared out cupboards and cleaned carpets....and I abhor housework. I love the cooking but I'm on a diet.
I also seem to be on the site rather alot at the moment.....I like that.
Roll on Spring. Although the sun is shining I'm not getting out enough for my Vit D because it's soooooo cold!

I've cleaned out two of 'those' drawers in the kitchen ... you know the ones, we all have them that everything gets chucked in.

I've thrown out buttons, old keys, dead batteries, phone chargers for phones I no longer own, rubber seals and random shaped plastic things that I've no idea what they've come off 

But I did find two old pairs of glasses to go in the hospitals collection bin for their Africa appeal that I can drop off when I go for my appointment on Monday

I hit youtube looking for new gardening ideas  Never say I'm not a dedicated gardener.

I also cruise for other useful tips. Anyone want to learn how to make their own vanilla extract cheaply?
