For the last five days one of my chickens has been acting weird she is just at pol and is refusing to come out of the house and when I lift her out she stands perfectly still and the other chickens peck at her? So for three days I put her in a massive cage in the garage ith food and water and some broccoli the first ay she hardly moved but the last two days she was realy active as soon as I put her in the garage but each time I put her back with the other hens she freezes again! Nothing obviously wrong with her .... Possibly a very slightly impacted crop but so slight it's hard to tell, she's eating but not much and drinking but again not much I'm lost now for what to do? She doesn't seem down at all and my vet is not great ith chickens unless is an obvious problem so now I need your help please

Starting to go broody? My hens pecked at the girl who was going broody as if to say "Get back in that nest box and do your job!"

I did check to see if she was egg bound as that was the first thing I suspected, however today she has gone compleatly back to normal and no one is pecking her either ? Very odd indeed

Lets hope that she has totally recovered and starts to lay soon.  If she has been laying soft shelled eggs there are sometimes no sign of them as the hens will gobble them up.

I'm pretty sure she's not laid anything yet but she should be close tho as her other three "sisters" have all begun to ay recently and her comb is just starting to get slightly redder so fingers crossed, I did give her three days of poultry spice so that may ave perked er up god only knows
