it is just like you swilling your mouth out with mouthwash .its an antisptic .the birds usually barfs it up a half hour later and it clears everything ,my birds that have had trouble  come back great ...usually .sour crop is caused by hens pigging out on grass or even sweetcorn seed, anythin g that they really go mad for ,i found mine used to go ballisitic when the plums came down from the wind and beech mast was another ,but when the plums just started to split and rot was the worst .i ended up wiring the whole area off , drunk chickens are not funny

no they spew up all over make a rowdy noise n generally pick fights ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, cripes they yobs  in feathers

Chick seems much better today,more his self,preening etc crop seems to be a lot less floppy today so hopefully he is on the mend. Thanks to Muntjac for his advise on the Epsom salts and banana. Will keep you posted.
