Hi guys and girls, got our first 4 hens yesterday, had 2 eggs this morning very happy, just a bit stumped on the breeds of them, 2 are a ginger colour and 2 are grey, all 4 are 8 months old, can email pics to peeps to help can't upload from iPhone tho

They look like my Warrens, hybrid of the Rhode Island Red and Rhode Island White.

They look a bit darker than warrens, which are actually a cross between RIR and Light Sussex.

But tails are not dark enough to be Babcocks or Columbian blacktails.

Are the grey ones, speckled, or lavender grey with a darker neckline?  if the latter they could be bluebells?

We just got 2 more, one is speckly and we got another red, after extensive google looking, we think the speckly ones are cucumarrans if that's right and the other grey has a black head and neck and a smokey coloured body, will get pics off those on tomorrow to confirm, oh we had 2 more eggs today, didn't think they would be as delicious as there are very happy

When I looked back at my hens I realised they were a lighter colour than these, I always imagine them to be darker than they are.  I guess I lost the plot, I just realised I wrote "rhode Island white", my cold must have affected my brain!

These are beautifull whatever they are!
