Hi eveyone,
this morning i went down to let the chickens out and realised one of my chickens was missing... i can't find her anywhere and i reckon the fox must have got her. What i can't work out is how she got caught... i fed the chickens all late afternoon yesterday, and this morning when i went to let them out she's no where to be seen. I'm thinking she must of not gone to bed, but what i can't work out is there is no sign that anything caught her as there are no feathers etc. But she's definatly gone       does anyone have any ideas about how she may have been knicked? many thanks. x

she may return - I have had them go missing for a couple of days and then return safe and sound (have even had them disappear for 3 weeks and return with a new batch of chicks) so you may be lucky and get her back xx

if you cant see loads of fethers everywhere i dobt a fox has had her she probably has gone walkabout  :blink: they usualy return sooner or latter

Its so dreadful when they disappear without a trace - you are just left wondering.   Could she have strayed over your garden wall and something happened to her further afield?   Was she an independent type?!   I hope you find out what happened as you spend time worrying it could happen to the others too.   Good luck, best of all I hope she returns.

Sadly this happens. We had a duck vanish without trace - it was daytime and there was no evidence at all.

Usually, if there is any sort of predator there is a terrific commotion so hopefully your's will turn up unharmed.
