Merry Tiller I/D required
« on: March 08, 2012, 23:29 »
Hi to everyone !

Just joined A and VG .First post coming up.
Must say what a wealth of info there is to look at throughout the website.Hope to  contribute  in the months ahead.

Can anyone help to positively identify which Merry Tiller model I now own.I think it may be a "Major but not sure.
The casing is marked with 3 HP  PAT NO 714394 and Serial No M105290
It has a metal chain guard and repositionable handlebars.

I hope to change the drive belt  ASAP

Thanks for any input.

Your Merry Tiller is indeed a Major, made in the early 1970s and fitted with the extra cost option of  height adjusting and swivelling handles, which were standard on the contemporary Titan and Professional models.
