Is this the one you've already seen?

Leftovers Pie ?

Personally I like Jamie's Turkey & Leek Pie

but these are both hot pies, rather than the cold one from the BBC

That BBC recipe would also be great substituting the chicken for left over turkey.

I was thinking that myself as I wont have leftover turkey before Christmas and I think chicken is a more moist meat so the pie will be better for that. I'll be roasting a chicken On Sunday so on Monday I'll do a test run and let you know how its  gone.

Well I finally got round to making this on Saturday night and followed the bbc recipe. I made it to take to our Christmas get together in the allotment cabin. It's safe to say it went down well and everyone commented on how Christmasy  it tasted. Im quite chuffed with myself but I have a little problem with my pastry skills. I make a mix of 200g flour then 50g butter and 50g lard  ;) The problem is it crumbles very easily and is not good for handling.....its very good for eating though but, if i reduce the lard a bit will that make it less crumbly? Im going to have a go at a hot water pastry for the next one I make as I think it will suit the pie better.
