Is it too late to sow winter rye?

Could you please add your locaility into your profile, then we can answer -- growing conditions vary quite a lot

All done.

I'm working with clay soil and I'm in the process of digging in some compost and manure.

The green manure website says sow up to end of October.

You may just get away with it now given the recent warmth, which hopefully will have been retained in the soil thus enabling germination.

But it is a risk.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

A fine establishment to be sat in next to the fire.

Just an update.

Sowed around the 15th of November. Warmed up the beds a little before hand with a black plastic cover. I also kept the beds covered at night once the seeds were sowed and I've now got an established bed of Hungarian razing rye!
