I read that pureed carrots are a good wormer and chickens love it.

Nearly there but she has freeranged a bit - I've probably compromised the effectiveness of the F but I coudn't deny her her dustbathe and preening in the sunshine.....

I mixed a kilo and there will be a lot left over.  Shall I continue to give it to her after this week or dispose of it?

I save my leftovers in an airtight tub, and use it for worming next time. I worm every 6 months as a precaution, but if you feel there is a heavy worm burden you can repeat worming after a month I believe.

I wormed her as a precaution (she was in a shocking state externally so I guessed the same inernally).  I have no way of knowing whether she had worms or not.

Today (one of her rather disgusting) runny brown poos did contain something which might have been small worms - they were not moving so maybe they are being passed out.

Is there a way of knowing?

I'll keep her medicated feed for next time.
