I just use rope or bungy cords.  Cheap and very reusable!

I use nylon string  - I melt the ends of it so that it doesn't unravel and give them something to peck at.

I'm a cheapskate - baler twine. It is a way for me of recyling it. I am always trying to give it away to gardeners who come for my manure as well. :)

I use a piece of thick wire with a bent shaped hook in the end.  This stops the hens from being able to spin the feeder and throw the contents out!

I use some hanging basket chains, upside down. eg. 3 strands clipped to the wire mesh, with a hook hanging down, just right for the feeder to hang from. :)

I have screwed hooks, one under the nest box and another at the front edge of the coop as it has a covered enclosure.  Both keep nice and dry.  The feeder under the nest box is a small one so I have used some clips off hanging basket chains to get the right height.

I've used old hanging basket chains too and found them to be the most robust and easy to adjust the length so that the through is at back height.

Baler twine is also useful cheap and I always have lots of bits of twine in my pockets for tieing up electric nets, feeders etc.

Copper wire stripped from electric cable is another useful item to carry about for repairs though it doesn't last so long as a chain or stell wire for hanging feeders.
