Hi everyone
I've not made this chutney before and have just printed off the recipe to make it this afternoon.
I was surprised at so few ingredients - beans and onions + spices and thats about it.

Has anyone made it and if so does this combination work well or would you add anything else to it. Was wondering about tomatoes, sultanas or apples or would that ruin the flavour of the beans?

I'll wait till I hear back from anyone as dont want to waste my lovely beans

I've just made some runner bean and courgette chutney; runner beans, courgettes, apple, onions, sugar and a variety of spices. Beans, onions and spices sounds a bit thin on ingredients but, hay, might work. Give it a go!

Ok. I'm more than happy to give it a go on that recommendation alone 
Just one more quick question tho......
Do you mince it or leave it chunky or doesn't it matter!

My beans and onions are just about ready now so I'm getting ready to strain (ha ha, not a pretty sight) 

I only had just over a pound of beans so I'm halving all ingredients and hoping for the best.
