Hello,

I've not been round here much lately and yesterday we bought 4 Khaki Campbell.. woo hoo

I am using the old chicken coop as their home and have to modify the door to make it bigger for them.. but I have 1 question, does the house need to be on legs? as the coop has 6 inch legs and I was thinking of chopping them off.

reason? so I wouldn't need a ramp for the ducks to get in the house.. what do you think please?

I have a feeling that you would need to keep the bottom of the house off the ground or it could rot.  If not on legs you would need to use slabs or bricks.

My ducks house (Khaki Cambells to) has no legs but I keep the house up on two bricks at each corner and they have a breeze block and a slightly lower block to help them step up to the door way. No problem.
