Happy Saturday or Sunday, depending on what country you live in!!!!

I have a 10 foot by 10 foot run, that is 5 feet high and a chain-link fence. When we moved the chooks in there about 6 weeks ago, I had planted St.Augustine grass sod in the run. Within 3 weeks it was all dead. I want to get the run looking nice in there. Maybe a few bushes,  vines on fence, possibly a few decorations.  I want to do this now, as the weather is starting to go from 95 degrees  F to 80 or so, perfect weather.

Any ideas, input, monologues, anything would be appreciated :D !!!

-If it doesn't fit;force it. If it breaks; you needed a new one anyway

sorry chicks ....forget it unless its above the chickens heads and they cant jump up then it wont be safe , grassing the run floor is a no no it can be a harbour for bad bugs etc ( if it lasts ) just use bark chips or leave it plain .remember to move the coop and run yearly if you can to give the ground a chance to recover..  :)

I think there is something called the Balfour method where you have two runs and switch between the two at monthly (or thereabouts) intervals.  This gives one run time to recover whilst the chooks are gardening on the other one.

It's something that I'm going to try in the New Year, but until then they're having to make do with branches as a climbing frame, and stuff they can't get to as the Muntster says.
