Tree roosters
« on: August 16, 2011, 19:28 »
I've got them :D 7 out of the 10 chicks roost in the Damson trees ::) and they're so high up we can't reach them to put them in their coop without ladders >:( so tonight we've decided to leave them and trust they're still there in the morning
May this day be blessed with gifts, understanding and friends.  Merlin 2001-2012 Pandora 2001-2013 xxx

I have lots that roost in the trees all year round  :).
However I would suggest that you check your coops for redmite.
Staffies are softer than you think.

Their coop's mite free thanks to HFs advice, I think they're just that way inclined.

It started when we were on holiday and daughter phoned in a panic because the Dutch Bantam hen kept disappearing in the evenings then reappeared next morning and since we've been back more have joined her.
The DBs are about the size of blackbirds and fly a lot, which was a bit of a shock to be honest and the Lavender poots chicks (who look huge next to them) have started to fly too.  I  know they're birds but honestly >:(
