poorly bum!
« on: August 15, 2011, 21:47 »
Hi all,I've got a chicken with a sore looking behind, the feathers are sparse and there is a sticky white discharge which coats her bum area. She seems alright in herself and is eating .I have washed the area and applied a fungicidal cream as initially it looked a little fungally..shes's not laying or is laying a soft egg,we have five chooks and i not too sure who's laying the soft egg.Any ideas what her problem is?    Any wise advice would be gratefull

Sorry, no wise advice but if it is fungal I know there is a medicine called nystatin which is given orally and is stronger than cream. Trip to vet?
