you need to dig plenty of manure or compost into the ground as you would a runner bean trench,you can sow some next month and over winter them in a frost free greenhouse,these will flower before your spring sown ones.
also you need good seeds of good plants.
feed the soil not the plants
organicish
you learn gardening by making mistakes

Did you pinch the tips out when the seedlings got to  4 - 5 pairs of leaves  ?

Some sweet peas are known to not flower or very few if this is not done.

Yes i did pick off tips, soon i'm gonna grow some stocks and delphiniums from seed that wont need their tips taken off like fussy sweet peas :wink:
