my mongtout batch didnt do well so bought some new seeds. as this was my second attempt.

is it to late to sow them? i do live in the channel islands so our summers tend to be longer.

July is about the latest you could sow, acording to the packet I have

and you should still get a crop

Tried it last year and had a crop in late September - not quite as big as the earlier crop, but oh, so sweet....

i looked at the packet and saw i was getting late but as we tend to have longer summers and dont get frost thought its worth a try. now the rain has stopped i can get the poles up and netting.

I'm still sowing peas and mangetout, in fact I'm sowing a batch tonight - we're in Eastbourne so a lot less clement than your situation
