Planted My Spuds Today

Yes,
I planted  three rows of Cliffs Kidney yesterday. Cleaned out the last of last years leeks and dug in a bin full of compost ready for what ever.
I also planted some Russian Red tomatos in tubs and some of my plum tomato seeds, of unknown pedigree( but absolutely delicious), in trays in the greenhouse. Yesterday was 20c and gorgeous but got caught up in getting two loads of firewood for next winter. When it is free and you have a willing helper you can re-schedule real quick. Got home at 4pm, unloaded the wood and cooled off with a couple of cold beers in the courtyard, magic! Watched the World Cup Rugby and got to bed at some unearthly hour. Today was just as warm but with heavy showers. Managed to do a bit of work outside but the Rugby replays drove me inside. It must be spring!!!!

I thought it might raise a few eyebrows. :o  The tomato seeds are in my greenhouse and are just showing through. I planted broad beans earlier for the first time ever and we will be having our first feed this weekend. Have never tasted them so this is completely new territory for me. I was taught gardening by my father and he didn't like broad beans hense they were never in our diet.
