I have 2 bright lights plants in at the moment. I planted them as plugs at the beginning of july and the are just now starting to look like propper swiss chard. How long do they keep producing for? I have not yet harvested any leaves as the plants are onlt about 6" tall and I'm thinking I might not get to eat any at all if it's nearing the end of their growing season.

Keep them watered and they'll grow until hard frost kills them.

I've had them last through winter, As said feed and water and pick regularily. They are fairly tough and productive

even if they look very sad they usually grow again in spring for some early pickings before they run to seed

Make sure you keep them watered in any dry spells because the red ones a least, seem to run to seed in dry weather.
