  Can anyone help.
I have a beautifull clematis armandii that has started to turn yellow leafed at the bottom to middle with the leaves then turning brown and falling off. this years new growth further along seems fine (at the mo ) should I be feeding it ? if so with what . it really is begining to look quite sorry for its self

Could well be due to lack of water earlier in the year, rather than lack of food  if the new growth is OK

Keep it well watered, and it might help it

Keep the soil wet and feed the plant every three weeks until fall.  It also wouldn't mind a drink of cool tea either.  It works as a stimulate.  Yep!  Feed and water.
