I saw a 'berry harvester' in my local Lakeland shop.

Information taken from the fact sheet produced by the Beechgrove Garden

"Berry Picker, made by the Nether Wallop Trading Co, and is available online and in good garden centres."

It looked good, very quick and easy to use, but I'd bet it takes the stems off too which can be a bit fiddly to deal with. Haven't tried it myself because we prune off the fruited stems and then use a fork, which also takes a few stems with it.  ::)

I haven't seen the blackcurrant harvesting tool, but this, although it's designed for uncapping honeycomb, might be an alternative.

I bought one from Lakeland very effective and although picking blackcurrants will always be time consuming this reduces the time required.       The comb is ver good at removing currants without taking everything with it occasional stem gets through but that may be more to do with the operator than the tool itself!  Incidentally the Lakeland product same at the one on the Fact sheet is cheaper!!!!

I've not seen the picker you are talking about but the OH uses a table fork which works very well.
