This year I decided to grow my fave fruit (closely followed by toms) at home out of growbags on top of staging. Bit like the expensive multi level things you can buy.

Last few years on growing them on the plot have been disappointing with various thiefs enjoying the fruits of my labour even with netting etc.

Results have been fantastic and recommend this method if you have room. No thieving at all...apart from 9 and 11 year old boys.

 Next year should be a better harvest with 2nd year plants....yum!

Did this last year in the greenhouse on the plot to get an early crop.
This year add BFB and some chick pellets to the grow bags but 2nd year crop tho OK was not as good as 1st year.
I, like you, thought following years would be better then read that professional growers renew there plants every year.
Maybe some one here can explain?
