help, what's rotting my toms??
« on: June 27, 2011, 11:27 »
Hi

First noticed this on my patio toms (which were in the polytunnel at the time) about 3 weeks ago but now on my grafted beefsteak fruits. It's a dark brown mould, quite furry. The plants aren't showing any blight signs. Any thoughts? I've attached a pic of the fruit i pulled off this morning. I'm daily removing any leaves/fruit affected.

Thanks

It does look like early blight to me.

Have a look through the pictures on this site:

Some years are like that, quite bad. That's part and parcel of gardening.

Now you're just making things up  :tongue2:
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Side end rot then.

 :D That will be it.

Or just weather/moisture stress.
