Even the 1 that I grew for early courgettes has done nothing but sulk, rather than produce anything to eat

Unfortunately I dont have a greenhouse just a sunny front room and with guests arriving this weekend they simply had to out

  Just checked the 5 day forecast and after a lull on Thursday there are numbers in the gust column again on Friday.

The result of my experiment....

The 6 courgettes that I started way too early are happily producing masses of flowers and courgettes; I now regret having composted half of them.

The 3 that I started later are all looking rather unhappy and have not weathered the low temps nearly as well. They are not even thinking of flowering yet.

Who knows what the results would have been if recent weather had been a bit kinder.
