Worried about young Sablepoot
« on: June 13, 2011, 18:53 »
Hi, Could anyone help with some advice. We have 3 young Lemon Sablepoots which we got 2 weeks ago one hen was bigger than the young Cockerel and the other hen. The cockerel is growing nicely as is the bigger of the two hens, the small hen isn`t growing  as well and from day one of getting her she has never really stood up on her legs she waddles with her belly on the ground. We have had a good look at her and she seems fine , no sign of disscomfort or deformd legs. We think she is between 6 and 10 weeks. Where we got her from they weren`t too sure how old they were or even if they were from the same hatchings. They were in with other birds of various grow stages and we have noticed that she try`s to get under the other two birds or they are on top of her. She is eating and drinking well. Any ideas ?
Thank you Lorraine
