I've read that yellowing leaves on tom & chilli plants in  pots in the greenhouse, are likely the result of magnesium deficiency.

Which would be best, lime or Epsom salts?

Given that lime is calcium carbonate and epsom salts is magnesium sulphate, I'm sure you can decide for yourself!
