No idea what type but i've been given some tom and chilli plant's from a family member, we have load's of our own growing. Don't want to just throw them away. Would they be ok to just put in my flower bed?.

It all depends on the variety and what sort of summer we have.

Ask the family member what variety they sowed, they should be able to tell you (i know every variety that i sowed so far).

No can't find out what type any of them are . Going to plant them out tomorrow and see what happen's . We've got more than enough of our own anyway, So i'm not going to loose anything if they don't grow.

They'll grow but they might not fruit unless we have a lovely summer.
