Hi all,
Ok, i've got 6 PSB plants around 3" tall in pots which i grew from seed, when should i be planting them out.

I tried them a few years back and they all bolted so i don't want a repeat of that.
Is there anything i can do to minimise the chances of bolting too?

Are they spring producing ones?

I'd wait until they're 6" tall, then put them out.

I don't like sowing spring PSB too early, it gives them a change to bolt late summer/autumn. They always used to be on the market here during the first weeks in July, the former traditional "July Fortnight" holiday around these parts.

I'll have to check the packet when i get home tonight.

Mine get sown late April.

My summer ones are planted out and about 6" high and the winter (spring flowering) ones are about an inch high and they're staying in their deep seed tray for a while yet!!

Thats when i sowed mine, but they took a bit of time to get their heads up.

I'll keep an eye on them and pot on untill July then, that'll suit me just right to be honest as i get back off holiday the end of June.

Just sowed my purple and white sprouting seeds today.       

Already picking the summer sprouting.
