Photo of perch in the run
« on: May 16, 2011, 11:32 »
There are often posts on here asking what to put in the run, well I would definately say to put a perch, we have an under cover one that they use constantly but on Saturday my husband fixed a branch, that was previously just laying on the ground of the run, up a bit higher and they love it.
Also can anyone comment on if they think  Gracie might actually be a girl, I am thinking she may be a female legbar.

Dont they look happy and contented all in a row. They do enjoy a perch during the day. Our two youngsters have a low branch in a crab-apple tree that they spend a lot of time on.

Love the pics  :D
Have to say that I agree with Casey here.  It looks more like a cockerel.  Lovely bird though.

The perch looks perfect - and it has obviously received the seal of approval from the chicks.  :D  By the way, have they been playing with a blue Frizbee in their run?

Yes  quite sporty my chicks. That's what I use to empty the remains of their food into so I can wash the proper container out. They do amuse themselves with the frisby though

Oh those little ones all in a row look so very contented!  You won't have any trouble getting them to perch at night!
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!
